Well I am a volunteer firefighter starting to go back to school so maybe one day I can make a career out of it. My friends are finally getting me to relax and be myself again. I try to do something new all the time. Biggest goal i have is to finally get healthy and get down to a decent weight. So far i have gotten so much energy back i am always looking for something to do.

I'm a spur of the moment kind of guy. I have a very rewarding career, but its also a very boring career so when I'm not at work, I like to make the most of my life. I like booking last second vacations, taking a day off to go kayaking, disc golfing, hiking, going out to an outdoor concert or spending some time on Rush St in Chicago. I also like relaxing at local coffee shops, checking out festivals and outdoor theater, and I can't imagine a better way to spend my night than watching a movie at home. I love cultural music, jazz, alternative, hip hop, Johnny Cash and standards. I have a great sense of humor and I find it in just about everything.

I am new to this so here it goes...I love to learn. I love to laugh. I love animals. I grew up in Manitowoc County, but I am not sure if I want to stay here in the future. I have a beautiful little boy. I love UFC and MMA. I have a very down to earth personality. I am not judgmental. I am very open and honest. I am a hard worker and I am ambitious...I know what I want. A few years ago, I lucked into the best job in the world, I get paid to play with other peoples toys. I install electronics on sail and power boats as well as rigging sailboats. Honestly, there's nothing better than working on the water. Unless, of course, it's playing in the water.
I have two children, they both like to laugh too. A seven year old boy with a gentle giggle, and a five year old girl who cackles like a James Bond villain. She has also convinced me that everything that I hate about women is genetic, and not learned. Both are adopted, and I worked too hard to get them in the first place, so they come first. When I can, I paint. Acrylic on canvas. As big as can afford. At times it's abstract (swirled paint and anything I can get to stick) , other times, it's just an odd idea or feeling that needs to get out. Grew up in Omaha, Ne. Relocated to Wisconsin for family and career a few years ago. I miss congestion, traffic, urban sprawl and the convenience of city life.

I stay attached to and appreciate the things that have meaning or are of a useful purpose for me. I prefer quality over value and function over appearance. I'm a minimalist. I love to hit up thrift shops and garage sales in search of discarded treasures; you never know what you'll find. If ya have an eye for it you can turn someones trash into cash for yourself or find a little sumthin you hadn't realized you'd gone without. In general i think society has become cheap and disposable, for shame!

I like classic things: my adidas, worn out blue jeans, anything wool especially an afghan on a chilly night, comfort food, baseball games and beer, football games and beer, beer in general, graffiti, old school hip hop, Art Deco, old houses and buildings, historical landmarks. I'm just another college graduate whose dreams have veered slightly off-course. I've spent my entire life moving around the country for my dad's work, so now I'm trying to teach myself how to settle into somewhere. Also traveled my share, living in France for a while which really was the best experience of my life thus far. I've grown up a mountain girl in Colorado and love rock climbing, rafting, slack lining, tree climbing, cliff diving, hiking, camping... practically all outdoor activities make for the perfect adventure. I'm not a crazed sports gal though. I could also spend a perfect afternoon relaxing with a good book and a glass of wine.
I haven't lost my inner child, that is for certain. Certain college friends remember me as a ninja, but then to others I'm a pirate. Just the other day my friend and I regressed to a childish state of fort-building in my basement.
I suppose what I'm trying to say is I'm studied and always ready to dive into an intellectual debate, yet I haven't lost my sense of fun and adventure.

Well, I enjoy playing sports especially basketball or football. I like to be around kids. Some day I would like to coach college, high school, or just maybe volunteer myself for a youth coach. Right off the bat, I'm going to tell you this, I can't stand people with incrediably high standards, the "i'm better than you" kind of attitude, racist views, intense religious beliefs and try to shove them down your throat, liars, cheaters, and guys that are no deeper than a puddle.
